How is UGC NET Result Calculated on ugcnet.nta.nic.in 2023?
The UGC NET result is calculated through the following steps:
Step 1: The number of candidates who will qualify for the eligibility of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) will be equal to 6% of the total number of candidates who appeared in both papers of UGC NET 2022.
Step 2: The total number of slots will be distributed among various categories based on the reservation policy.
Step 3: To be eligible for JRF and Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor only, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in both papers combined for the general and general-EWS category, and at least 35% aggregate marks in both papers combined for all candidates belonging to reserved categories.
