About Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme 2023

The Government of Telangana has launched Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme. It is basically a welfare scheme for empowering Dalit families and enabling entrepreneurship among them. Through this scene, the government is going to transfer an amount of Rs 10 lakh per family. This scheme is going to be the biggest cash transfer scheme in the country. The scheduled castes, who are among the most downtrodden and oppressed sections of Indian society, remain at the bottom of the social and economic ladder. This is because the delivery of credit by banks in the form of loans has become a constraint.

Under the Telangana Dalit Bandhu scheme, one-time capital assistance of Rs.10 lakhs per SC family is provided as a 100% grant/subsidy for the establishment of suitable income-generating schemes of their choice, without bank loan linkage. This scheme aims to provide a major boost to scheduled caste families’ economic development and social upliftment.

Rs 94.84 Worth of Automobiles Distributed Under The Scheme

On 14th April 2022, a ceremony was held in Ambedkar stadium in Hyderabad. In this ceremony, the state minister of BC welfare and civil supplies Gangula kalakaar distributed vehicles to the Dalits under the Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme. Nearly 769 automobiles have been received by the beneficiaries which are worth a total value of Rs 94.84 crore. Selection Of Hospitals To Be Done With Draw

The pilot project of this scheme will focus on monitoring the implementation of the scheme, evaluating the result, and creating a safety fund for the beneficiary. This fund will be managed by the district collector. The beneficiary is required to deposit a minimum amount towards this fund. The government is also going to issue an identity card with an electronic chip which will help the government in monitoring the progress of the scheme.
